Marvin I. Dunn, M.D.
1928 - 2011
Dr. Dunn was a graduate of Paseo High School. He then attended the University of Kansas, where he received his undergraduate and medical degrees. He completed his medical training at USPHS in San Francisco, CA, and the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Dunn was the head of the Cardiology Department at the University of Kansas Medical Center for over 30 years and was the former Dean of the University of Kansas Medical School. He co-authored seven medical textbooks. He was published many times in peer reviewed medical journals. Dr. Dunn was a lifetime member of Congregation Beth Shalom. He was married for 32 years to Maureen Cohen Dunn until her passing in 1989. Dr. Dunn enjoyed playing tennis throughout his life and did an incredible job of balancing his professional life and his family life.
